Meet the Staff

David Rubis, D.D.S.

A graduate of Northwestern University Dental School, Dr. David J. Rubis is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Rubis served in the Illinois Air National Guard for six years. He has also served as a consultant on the MetLife Dental Insurance Advisory Board for four continuous years, helping form dental office operating guidelines along with many other duties for their network of 36,000 dentists. Dr. Rubis is a member of the American Society of Dental Sleep Medicine (ASDSM), Will County Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society and the Illinois Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped. Dr. Rubis has received awards for volunteering for the Donated Dental Services (DDS) Program, a humanitarian service to disabled, elderly and medically compromised people.

Dr. Rubis has built a multidisciplinary practice consisting of a team of general dentists, specialists, and hygienists to provide advanced dental care for the entire family. In an effort to provide his patients with the latest technology in the dental field and the best possible service, Dr. Rubis attends numerous continuing education classes and seminars.

Dr. Rubis is the proud father of a daughter, Dr. Lisa Rubis, who is pursuing a career as a Chiropractor at her own practice, ANEW Chiropractic and Physical Therapy; and a son Dr. Joseph Rubis, General Dentist, who joins his father at Advanced Family Dental, P.C. and Anew Dental and Orthodontics, L.L.C.

His hobbies include running, traveling, fishing, playing the piano and taking his Mustang convertible for a spin in the summer.

Joseph D. Rubis, D.D.S.

Dr. Joseph Rubis is the son of David Rubis, D.D.S. Dr. Joseph Rubis graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago and then continued onto Marquette Dental School, where he graduated in 2005. He regularly participates in courses to improve his craft utilizing modern techniques and materials. He has attended the Nash Institute for cosmetic dentistry, learning from one of the top cosmetic dentists in the nation. Dr. Joseph Rubis currently resides in Plainfield.

James Morrone, D.D.S.

Morrone holds a degree in dentistry from Loyola University School of Dentistry; he is also a graduate of Cook County Hospital where he specialized in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. He holds memberships in AAOMS, ISOMS and CSOMS. He collects pens and watches and he and his wife Debbie, have three children.

Debra Alavi, D.D.S., M.S.

Alavi is a dual-degreed in dentistry as a graduate of the University Of Illinois College Of Dentistry and the recipient of a Master of Science in Orthodontics. She has been published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and has received an award for exceptional achievement in the field of Orthodontics. Her two children Alex and Andrew, currently attend college; she enjoys sports, reading and painting.

William M. White, D.D.S.

A graduate of Northwestern University Dental School, White is a member of the American Dental Society, the Illinois Dental Society and the Illinois Valley Dental Society. He believes his Associate Arts degree from the College of Dupage is beneficial to his patients in reconstructing their smiles! He holds a Black Belt in tae kwon do and is active in tournaments in the sport. He and his wife have two children.
