Orthodontics - Early Treatment

At What age should orthodontics begin?
Dentists and orthodontists can enhance a smile at any age, but aside from this, it is important to note that there is an optimal time period in which to begin orthodontic treatment. It is recommended by the American Association of Orthodontics that the initial orthodontic evaluation should occur when the first sign of orthodontic issues are noticed. Otherwise, an orthodontic evaluation should take place no later than age 7. While orthodontic treatment may not be necessary at this early age, a thorough examination will help establish the best time/age to begin treatment.
